A journey to automatic Java refactoring (and jSparrow)

ContributionDetailContributionDetailContributionDetailContributionDetailContributionDetailWe will demonstrate how to refactor Java code such that repetitive manual tasks are done with the assistance of a tool, which additionally increases software quality. This approach saves time to care about code that needs intellectual consideration an not wasting time in adopting new language constructs and removing code smells.

The first step will be to determine those parts of the code in need of refactoring.

We will discuss categories of code smells and issues and give you an idea how these issues might be refactored automatically.

In the second part we want to shed light on existing solutions and how to adopt them.

In the third part we will demonstrate how we developed jSparorw and how this tool might ease your daily development task.
