The Software Quality Days is the best ranked international conference regarding the synergies between academic and industry. Find more information in the study "Academic and Industrial Software Testing Conferences: Survey and Synergies".
In the 3 practical tracks there will be presentations of applicationoriented expieriences and lectures - from users for users. The scientific track will be held in englisch. The lectures present a corresponding level of innovation and research results, and they relate to practical applications. The exhibitors present their latest tools by practical examples in the Solution Provider Forum.

The complexity and challenges of Software Engineering and Software Quality in the Cloud
All contributions in knowledge domains, which influence or deal with software quality or have their focus on better software quality, are also very welcomed, e.g.
The conference is in general branch independent. But we would also be glad to take branch specific lectures into our program, e.g. Insights and implementation of software quality topics in medicine and pharmaceuticals, automotive, industrial automation, finance, embedded systems and many more.
You can submit different kinds of papers
Standard (45 min.: 30-35 min. presentation and 10-15 min. discussion) Practical lectures are application-oriented contributions and experience reports – from users for users. Presentations with co-lecturers of customers or users are preferred. Lectures from tool-producers are accepted only when they are being presented tool-independently. The selection is executed by experts from the industry. Possible number of participants: 20 to 100
Standard (45 min.: 30-35 min. presentation and 10-15 min. discussion) A scientific submission must display the relevant level of innovation and/or be backed up by research results. It is also expected to be applicable and practical. The program committee assesses the value of scientific presentations with a set of critical criteria and expets the scientific aspect to be appropriately reflected in applications. Possible number of participants: 20 to 100

Workshops and tutorials
Workshops and tutorials take place on a half-day basis. There are more detailed application-oriented contributions and field reports, primarily with workshop character and audience participation. Presentations of tool applications are possible, but only if they are neutral without sales character and not made by the tool manufacturer or a distributor. Possible number of participants: 6 to 30.

- Please upload an additional extended abstract (as pdf, doc, docx, txt). There are no specifications according its structure.

Publication of your contribution
Practical paper in the Conference Journal
Publish your article as lecturer free of charge in the Conference Journal.
The journal will be published directly after the conference solely online - available for download.
Your article can have 8'000 to 40'000 characters (including blanks). It also contains a short description with a photo of the author and a short abstract.
In the template you will find detailed information on the number of characters, image formats and the list of literature.

Publications of scientific papers
Scientific papers will be rigorously peer-reviewed for publication in the well-known research publication series Springer LNBIP.

Your benefits as lecturer
Attendance free of charge
for one speaker per presentation on both conference days (except workshops). Further speakers can attend at early-bird partner price.* Lecturers of rejected contributions receive a 50% discount on the conference ticket (not combinable with other discounts).
for the Software Quality Days 2020 for the 3 best lecturers of the conference 2019
the leaders of a workshop with at least 6 paying participants commonly receive a bonus of € 250,-with at least 12 participants even € 500,-
Travel cost subsidy
for one lecturer per presentation in the practical tracks and workshops (except exhibitors):
- Vienna and surrounding area (up to 50 km): 0,-
- Austria (excluded Vienna and surrounding area, Tyrol and Vorarlberg): EUR 100,-
- Germany, Switzerland, Tyrol, South Tyrol, Voralberg, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia: EUR 250,-
- Other regions in Europe: EUR 400,-
- Outside of Europe: EUR 800,-
All values include VAT. Payment is conducted when a corresponding invoice is sent and approved by the conference organizer. To get the travel cost subsidy, you have to announce this with your submission! Travel cost subsidy cannot be granted and changed anymore after acceptance of a submission.
Invitation to the pre-conference dinner on the day before of the conference
- You can register for the Pre-Conference dinner in December after our mailing has been sent
- Exhibitor - up to 2 persons are free and can participate at no charge
- Speaker - main speaker is free
- Additional persons can participate at the dinner at a price of € 32,- by prior arrangement
